All systems have the IBM Cell Processor, Nvidia RSX graphics, and Blu-ray disc support necessary to play PlayStation 3 games. However, PlayStation models differ in hard drive size, as well as ancillary features, such as multimemory card readers, USB port counts, and backward compatibility support for legacy PlayStation 1 and 2 games. The PlayStation 3 160 GB Uncharted Drake's Fortune bundle is Sony's latest offering. The 160GB Uncharted bundle takes over for the 80GB Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle Sony started shipping in the first half of 2008. The 9 package includes a 160GB PS3 console, a Dual Shock 3 wireless gamepad, a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, and a free download voucher for Pain from the PlayStation Network Store. The 160GB machine is based on the newest console revision which cut the USB port count down to two, removed the multimemory card readers, and nixed backward compatibility with PlayStation 2 games. The system still offers full PlayStation 3 game support, Blu-ray movie playback, and PlayStation 1 game support but anyone interested in the original system feature set should look for the discontinued PS3 models.
