The E3 predictions of gaming press outlets and industry analysts were proven correct today as footage from Sony Qore was leaked onto the web. The video shows off the new PSP Go handeld console, and mentions some big game surprises as well: Metal Gear Solid PSP, Gran Turismo, Jak & Daxter and more. Hideo Kojima is going to be disappointed if this leak stole the thunder from the big Metal Gear announcement he and Konami were planning.

The new device looks quite impressive, along the lines of prototype images of the PSP2 that were already circulating on the net. Other than the sliding screen, 16GB of on-board flash and downloadable distribution, the PSP Go appears to be fully backwards-compatible with the current PSP 3000 model. In fact, Sony spokesman even confirms during the interview that the company will keep both devices on the market at the same time.
