Leaked Renders Surface For The Moto G6 Play

Leaked renders have surfaced for the Moto G6 Play – one variation of the follow up series to the Moto G5, Moto G5 Play, Moto G5 Plus, and Moto G5S Plus which are currently available to consumers from the Lenovo-owned mobile device manufacturer. The Moto G6 Play according to these renders will have a single rear-facing camera with a raised camera bump module and an LED flash, and what is quite likely a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device where the Motorola logo is under the camera sensor. Typically Motorola has embedded fingerprint sensors in the home button on the front of the phone, which is clearly not present.

Unlike some of the other Moto devices the Moto G6 Play appears to be using a micro USB charging port for the charging and data transfer, and in one of the render shots it appears that Motorola may have also stuck with keeping a 3.5mm audio port so users can plug in a standard pair of headphones for listening to music or other audio. Judging by the renders the Moto G6 Play will come in what appears to be a sort of Chrome or Silver color, though it’s possible that Motorola could offer other colors as well.

Specs for the Moto G6 Play have leaked prior to now and include things like 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, as well as a Snapdragon 430 processor from Qualcomm. Though the phone appears to come with just one rear camera it’s said that it will be a 12-megapixel sensor, and although the color in these images doesn’t necessarily look like Charcoal, Charcoal is one of the rumored colors for the phone, with Blue and Gold options being the other two that could be offered when the phone launches later on this year. Other potential specifications include a 5.7-inch HD display and a 4,000mAh battery which would be substantial enough to carry a user through the day and then some without having to worry about plugging in the device mid-way through. There’s still no release date for the Moto G6 Play yet, nor is there a confirmation from Lenovo or Motorola about this device but it is rumored to be coming in 2018.
